As time goes by I find myself revisiting themes and subjects basing the work on my dreams, memories, imagination, life and photographic reference. Some of the work is exploratory whilst others are linked to themes or specific subjects. I use colour in an expressive manor.

The abstract work is made using a variety of starting points, such as artists that I admire, left over paint from painting sessions, using random colours, tentatively placing them. The challenge: making combinations of colours into compositions which portray weight, form and balance.

I like to deal with nostalgic, wistful memories portraying emotion and movement, alongside using ideas which stem from landscape and environments we live, work and travel in.
